Designer Teruki Uchise's journey of self-discovery has taken him from the bustling streets of Japan to the vibrant art collectives of Mexico. Immersed in rich culture and artisanal traditions, Teruki learned the craftsmanship of jewelry and leather accessories from street artists and tribal communities.
Inspired by a nomadic lifestyle, he began creating practical yet stylish accessories tailored for travelers. His versatile waist bag, designed with multiple pockets for essentials like lights, wallets, and phones, quickly gained popularity at rave festivals in India and Europe.
In 1999, after years of exploration, Teruki settled in Bali, Indonesia, where he established his atelier and merged his passion for travel and fashion into unique creations that reflect his experiences and the cultures he encountered.
Driven by a desire for artistic freedom and creative expression, Teruki continued to push boundaries, showcasing his innovative designs at prestigious events like the Paris Collection. However, in 2017, a longing to reconnect with nature led him to embrace the serene life of surfing in Bali. During this introspective period, he discovered a renewed creative spark, embarking on a new artistic journey in 2024.
Today, 14th Addiction embodies Teruki Uchise's vision of fashion as self-expression, creating timeless pieces that celebrate the beauty and diversity of the world he has experienced. Explore our collection and join us in this artistic adventure, where the spirit lives in the details of each design.
